Author: Tulip Hayden
For all you non believers out there, for everyone who is still skeptical about why anything would come without a price tag, there is news. Freebies are for real. And if you still do not believe maybe you should try laying hands on one among the many free stuff available in the gigantic world of freebies. For starters, let us take a look at how and why companies are giving their products away for free. The main reason would be marketing. When a new product is launched companies usually resort to giving away a limited amount of their products as freebies. This is done with the sole intention of pulling crowd. It is the best way to popularize your product. If people refuse to take your word for it the best way around it would be to allow the people to try your product.

Having got that out of the way, let us move onto what is in it for all you people interested in freebies. It is free. Is that not reason enough? Some may say yes. Some may disagree. Let me put it to you this way. You need to zero in on what you are seeking. There is abundance of products in the world of freebies, but the key lies in distinguishing what you require and what you don't. You might have witnessed at fairs and festivals, products being given away for free. People will flock around stalls if they know the things on display are for free. Even if it means it is just a box of pens, they may pick up a whole box of it for the plain simple reason that it is for free. This is where clear thinking should come into the picture. From kids to adults, everyone can find a freebie they have been looking for. So, think before you grab the next freebie. If you need it you got it else move on to other options.

The world of freebies is a never ending mass of products. I say never ending because every product has a shelf life I agree, but the range of products doesn't. The dawn of every day sees a new release of products in the market. Be it any field, innovation seems to be the mantra. Now with so many new products one must find it hard to keep up. Not anymore. With freebies on the increase and keeping in mind how popular it now is, every product more or less finds their way into the world of freebies sooner or later. From new recipes to new baby food, from new skin care creams to clothes from brand names, from free books to free computer stuff, from free internet access to free long distance calls, from free education courses to free music downloads, you have it all in the world of freebies. You name it and we've got it.

The trick is of knowing when to stop. It's free, so use it wisely. One must know how much is too much. Now, there is a thought to munch on. Food for thought!! And what more, it's absolutely FREE!!

Freebies and Its Existence

Author: Tulip Hayden
By now assuming that all of you reading this know what freebies are all about, let's talk of the reason behind the world of freebies coming into being. Freebies sure are the real deal. But it's hard not to wonder about the companies that give away these surveys. Why would a company give away their products for free, more so, on the internet where a million people have access to them with just a click of a button? Is it really the real deal you might ask now?

For people who have studied marketing this would be no puzzle to solve. Freebies are free products that companies give away on the internet. You don't have to spend a penny on any of it. Shedding light on why companies would want to give out all these products for free, free coupons seem to have become one among the best strategies for companies to market their products. On launching a new product the risk of it working in the market or not is now eradicated by placing it as a free samples on the internet. At the end of the day it is the consumers that have to decide if a product will work or not. The best way to do this is to give the customer, access to the products in the disguise of a free thing. If the product is true to its promotional lines, the people using it will be ultimately hooked and would not mind paying for the products that are worth their money. So it after all is part of the business and a beneficial one as such. One tends to wonder if the loss of products as freebies online surveys is worth the risk. Surveys have proven that the loss incurred during the phase when a product is accessed as a freebie is most definitely recovered as the demand for the products increases and its market value is boosted in the process.

The world of freebies stretches far and wide in front of you as a vast expanse of opportunities, schemes and packages that all lure you to try the new or even older products in the market for free. Temptation sure is a word to look out for here. It is everyday business online where companies are attempting to tempt the unassuming citizen into trying one of their talked about oh-so-amazing product. No harm done here actually, because one really need not blink an eye before clicking on that flashing tab that says FREE! But the so called unassuming citizen today is quite well informed, smart and knows enough to recognize the good stuff from the bad or the unwanted. Websites that need you to sign up or register to access the products are most of the times amateurish. It is important to keep in mind whether you require the product or not before typing in your mail id unless you want to be flooded with spam mail the very next morning.

Now having known the do's and the don'ts in the phenomenal world of freebies and having known it's background for it's existence, let me conclude by saying that for companies looking to expand their business and increase the market value and demand of their products, freebies are a safe bet. There is never a dearth of people looking to try a new product or try a new experience online. What better way to convince your consumer than giving them hands on experience on your products? This is the amazing world of free stuff where everyone is benefited, the consumer and the provider alike. So what are you waiting for? Grab that seat and go freebeeing!!

The Fundatmentals of Internet Market Research

The same marketing proficiencies that work today are not guaranteed to work in the future. This emarketing research can provide information on what the target market is going to look like in the future, and how to prepare for it.

Research is the process of gathering information in order to learn about something. Yes, that is a simple definition of something that is actually quite complicated. For the marketer, research is not simply for the intent of learning, but is an highly crucial ingredient in the decisiveness making process.

Each of these marketing segments will require research. It is crucial that you perform the correct research for each of these segments or you will be wasting your time.

Because marketing research involves people, it is one of the social sciences. Social science is the study of souls and how they react to different situations. In marketing, you study people and how they react to different marketing campaigns. Many marketing research techniques, such as surveys for example, are in actuality scientific experiments.

Not all marketing research will require studies to be performed, but if these studies are not performed correctly then they are producing inaccurate results. Of course, any research, no matter how well performed, has the ability to be wrong. It is because of this that you must undertake many different methods of research in order to produce the most accurate results. Research reliability depends on making sure that the data gathering leads to accurate results. If you always make sure to conduct the proper Internet market research, you will find that your business will be much more profitable than if you had not.

Benefits of Ad Serving Technology
An ad server is a computer server that stores advertisements and delivers them to website visitors. Ad servers come in two flavors: local ad servers and third-party or remote ad servers. Local ad servers are typically run by a single publisher and serve ads to that publisher's domains, allowing fine-grained creative, formatting, and content control by that publisher. Remote CPM ad serving system can serve ads across domains owned by multiple publishers. They deliver the ads from one central source so that advertisers and publishers can track the distribution of their online advertisements, and have one location for controlling the rotation and distribution of their advertisements across the web.

Another advertiser may only have paid to show one ad to each user per day. The ad server must therefore see if a user has seen that ad before, on that day and not serve it again if the user has seen it. Most advertisers who use third-party ads are brand-conscious. They prefer to specify websites where their ads will appear in order to optimize the targeting and effectiveness of their campaigns.

One aspect of graphical ad serving system technology is automated and semi-automated means of optimizing bid prices, placement, targeting, or other characteristics. Significant methods include:

• Behavioral Targeting - Using a profile of prior behavior on the part of the viewer to determine which ad to show during a given visit. For example, targeting car ads on a portal to a viewer that was known to have visited the automotive section of a general media site.
• Contextual Targeting - Inferring the optimum ad placement from information contained on the page where the ad is being served. For example, placing Mountain Bike ads automatically on a page with a mountain biking article.
• Creative Optimization - Using experimental or predictive methods to explore the optimum creative for a given ad placement and exploiting that determination in further impressions.

Ad Serving technology is the most complex when it is used by an Advertising Network. An advertising network buys ads from many web sites and therefore acts like an advertiser user of Ad Serving. When the network buys ads, it tries to place ads on sites where they work best. However an ad network then sells its aggregated ad inventory to advertisers. When doing this, it uses its Ad Serving software as a web site does. In this case it tries to make the most money by running the ads that yield the highest returns for the network.

Google Mobile Image Ads: Foray in Mobile Advertising Market

Mobile phones have been proved a great tool for web advertising. Keeping in view the ever expanding range of mobile users and the mobile advertising business, Google has forayed into a new domain i.e. graphical ad serving system on mobile devices. Recently Google announced the launch of mobile image ads. The image ads will be automatically displayed on the screen as soon as you will open the mobile phone browser. They look similar to the standard image ads for desktop web pages but their sizes have been modified to fit on mobile screens. The mobile image ads are linked to a mobile web page, keyword-targeted, and are priced on a cost-per-click basis.

Advantage for all

The mobile image ads will serve as a branding tool for advertisers and have shown good clickthrough rates. Only one image ad per page will be displayed that will also benefit advertisers. They are also beneficial for the publishers, providing added flexibility. Publishers can now select to show image ads, text ads, or a mix of both. Those publishers who are already taking the service of AdSense for mobile content, just require to update their AdSense code for activating mobile ads on their site.

Mobile image ads provide the mobile web surfers a new way to interact with mobile content. The contextual targeting will keep the ads relevant. Only one image ad per mobile page will ensure the uncluttering of ads and better readability of content.

Service of mobile image ads are currently available to advertisers in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Mobile advertising marketing research

The number of mobile phone users worldwide is estimated to be 3 billion as of 2007, and will touch the 4 billion mark in 2008. To be noted that total number of computers, including desktops and laptops, are currently estimated at 800 million globally. The figures itself explains the ever expanding reach of mobile users and so the mobile advertising. How much the mobile ads are beneficial can be estimated from the statement by Google CEO Eric Schmidt ¡°they are twice as profitable or more than the non-mobile phone ads because they¡¯re more personal.¡± According to the forecast of Strategy Analytics, advertisers are expected to spend $14.4 billion by 2011 on mobile media compared to $1.4 billion spend in last year.
